If you received your Prezzy Card in the mail, it probably hasn’t been activated. You must activate your card before you can use it. To do this, you will need the four digit number selected when the card was purchased by the person who gave it to you.

You must register your card to receive a replacement if in the event that your card is lost or stolen, or to dispute transactions made on the card. You can register your card when you activate your card.
You can use your card at Eftpos for in-store purchases, online, over the phone and via mail order at anywhere that accepts Visa electronically. Your card works overseas as well as all around New Zealand.
Always press 'credit' at Eftpos both in New Zealand and when overseas. There’s no PIN so you’ll need to sign the receipt.
No. You can’t get cash out using a Prezzy Card.

Prezzy Card can be used on Trade Me to purchase items where Pay Now is a payment option, but please note Prezzy Card cannot be used on Trade Me to credit a membership
You should let us know immediately so we can stop the card and arrange a replacement. Call us on 0800 450 509 or +64 4 460 5373 when overseas. You must register your card when you first receive it to ensure we can replace it if it is lost or stolen.
Some merchants may check that you have funds on the card before you pay the final bill (e.g. car rentals, hotels). This is called an authorisation. Authorisations hold funds (up to around 15% of the purchase amount) against your account and will reduce your available balance. These holds are for up to five days.
Any card authorisations that are holding funds (up to five days) against your card can be seen online and are also provided via our automated phone service.
Your Prezzy Card doesn't work in "zip-zap" machines (manual imprinters) or ATMs.
Your Prezzy Card can't be used for some taxis, at automated fuel dispensers, for gambling, for direct debits, recurring payments or instalments and for some services where an online merchant requires that your identity be authenticated against the details stored on the card.
Your card’s expiry date is printed on the front of the card. The card can’t be used after this date. Please make a note of this date. If there are any unused funds on the card on the date that the card expires, those funds become our property.

Please note: If you attempt to login to My Account and are unsuccessful three times, you will be locked out for 24 hours for security reasons. If you are locked out, please don’t attempt to access your account for 24 hours because the 24 hours will begin from each unsuccessful attempt.

Prezzy Card is a prepaid gift card. Prezzy Cards can only be loaded once, at the time of purchase.
A Loaded Everyday card is also a prepaid card but one that you would buy for your own personal use. Loaded Everyday cards can be reloaded (topped up) as often as you like.
A Prezzy Card is different from a debit card because it is not linked to a bank account and you do not need to have a bank account to have one. Debit cards are linked to a bank account so you must be a customer of a bank to get one.
A Prezzy Card is different from a credit card because it's prepaid. With a credit card you are essentially borrowing the funds to make a purchase and you have to pay back the funds at a later date.
